Chris in Court

On Friday Chris Brown appeared in a L.A. courtroom for a progress report. He asked the judge to remove the restraining order against Rihanna.

His attorney, Mark Geragos, argued that the restraining order, "makes it difficult at award shows and such," (both are nominated for multiple Grammys) and pointed out that Brown had completed the required 52 weeks of domestic ciolence counseling, as well as 582 of the required 1400 hours community service."

According to RadarOnline, before the request can be granted, Rihanna's attorney must approve the modification from a "stay away" order to a "do not annoy."

Chris Brown is scheduled to remain on probation until the year 2014.
