Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz released a statement on Tuesday, explaining their separation:
"After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives."
According to TMZ the couple filed for divorce at the LA Superior citing "irreconcilable differences". I loved Ashlee & Pete as a couple, but when it comes to Hollywood, things like this shouldn't be a surprise. I hope everything works out for the sake of their son.
