Silvio Rodriguez Offers Condolences for Chile Plane Crash

felipe camiroagaCuban troubadour Silvio Rodriguez sent a message of solidarity with the Chilean people for the plane crash tragedy that took place at Robinson Crusoe Island on Friday and left 21 dead.

Silvio particularly said that he would be very honoured if his song "Angel para un Final" is played at the funeral of Chile's leading TV personality Felipe Camiroaga, as had been requested by the artist himself.

"Chilean brothers and sisters, I gave instructions to my representative on Monday to offer my condolences to Camiroaga's family and the Chilean people, and it would be a high honor for me that my song be played at his funeral, as was his will," said Silvio in his blog.

Camiroaga, whose death at 45 is mourned by all Chileans, was considered a leading TV personality not only for his young physical characteristics, but also for his high professionalism.
